Personal Life Media Host Resources

After every show, it is the host’s responsibility to provide this document via email to Susan and Tim. It includes the name of your episode, a 150-250 word episode description, the guests bio, headshot and any links to any books, sites, workshops or other things mentioned by that guest during the show.

In the email you send to us, please note any specific areas that need to be edited out of your show. Keep your ears perked for slander, and illegal references and any generally inappropriate content.
We can’t send your show to an editor without this file. And we can’t feed and post your show on the site or in iTunes with out it being edited.

The best strategy is to have each interview or show be stronger than the last. Here’s why: The site and iTunes are structured in such a way that the most recently published episode is the one that is presented to users. There are two stages to the launch. Get the site up and running with all the features (blogs, etc.). Start to populate the shows in iTunes and the other podcast directories. Each show will have 2 episodes. This is called a “soft launch” and gets us ready to handle the traffic the results from the: Promotional launch on 3/19. This is where the impact of the press and email campaign hits and where we start to drive consumers to the site. Most people will come to the site for your show will click on the “play now” button which will play your latest episode. The result is more traffic on episode 3 than on 2 which will have more than 1.
