Hi Chip,
Really appreciated your thoughts. Frankly I don't know how the issue of opening up a relationship can be done without introducing pain. The issue is that we live in a society that has created an expectation of exclusivity, and when those accepted norms are challenged the very process of challenging the norms is painful. The real crux of the issue for me is whether or not I am willing to accept the unconventional, and to what extent I am willing to accept the unconventional and under what conditions. The decision cannot be made without accurate and full information, so the "absolute truth all the time" requirement resonates fully with my own journey...

I hear you...it is now easy, when we find ourselves in those "in-between spaces" where passions go dormant, where the challenge is to remain faithful... to ourselves.

It is a matter of trusting that love is like a rose bush...we keep on watering and nurturing it even when it has no blooms.

If the question has to do with commitment, or vows, I say we win more by waiting than rushing into another passion because it never lasts...no matter how strong, we are left holding the torch, flame gone when it has commsumed itself, or worse, empty handed.

I remember that passage from the Song of Songs: “Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it”

Interesting take on faith, which certainly isn't my strong suit. I'm much more action oriented, but this post has given me something to think about. Interesting that I immediately think of sexuality in a long-term relationship. I strongly believe that the strength of a person's soul is much more evident when times are tough than when they are easy. Love you!

This is happening in America right now! When a political person or party has control of the Media in a country - they can control the people of that country. Hitler knew this all too well. The majority of our Media in America is of one mind and one opinion. Soon - no other opinions will be tolerated!

I AM A WITNESS........

I have taken a good hard look at the pictures included here, and I want to say FOR THE RECORD, that I personally possessed a copy of the LIFE magazine (issue dated May 8, 1945) for many years which contained photos of the liberation of some of the death camps, which photos were very similar in nature to the ones included here.

I no longer own that copy due to a burglary, however, I understand that copies DO still exist, and are available.

I also own "expertised" copies" of "POW/camp 'postage stamps'" that were used for "intra-camp postage" in some of these camps. These items are REAL, and they are a reminder of what happened here.

In addition to this, I have personally visited the "Yad Vashem" (Shrine of the Name) Holocaust Museum in Israel, where I saw displays of human hair, gold teeth, shoes, clothing, and other items confiscated from the victims of such camps. Other items demonstrating the nature of these camps include desecrated Torah, lampshades MADE WITH HUMAN SKIN, and bars of soap MADE WITH THE BODY FAT OF CAMP VICTIMS.

ALL OF THIS IS REAL, and bears witness to the horrors of the camps.

Let those who deny this know that they have an OPPONENT in me, and that I will NEVER allow their lies to "become the 'truth'"!!!

I have always believed 'behaviour is the best evidence'. In my view, there are far too many conscious thoughts around what a person chooses to say and how, when and where they say it. This is not to question their honesty or sincerity, just pointing out the contrast between that and behaviour, which seems to me to be a far more meaningful indicator of a person's true inner state and intentions.

"How much beauty do I miss each day?"
That little sentence hit me like a brick wall. I find, as humans, it's so easy for us to get into that space of seeing everything as wrong. Or get in the habit of just being, instead of being ourselves.
I didn't know why I had the urge to come read your blog just now, as I've never done it before.. but the point seems apparent to me now. It was just to read that one little sentence and open my eyes to the beautiful world, while I've been a little overwhelmed with and blinded by negative things lately.
Thank you, Chip.
