I predict music festivals radically change the entry of Green practices in the mainstram at an enormous rate by the end of summer. Look ahead 3 years and 80% of all music festivals will be mini green festivals with consumer generated content uploaded media centers. Music Arenas will have full out Wi-Fi or Wi-Max in the case of LA area — Concert Goers will text message, upload files and be featured on screen while the concert is going on. Enviroments like second life and other yet to be created social meeting areas will feature musical avatar stars. If you’re in Boston check out Virgin Festival -
This link will show you everything that is being greened the festival.
Hungry for more? Ralph Simon and I talk at the Digital Be-In about his mobile plan for Al Gore’s Live Earth - the global concert on July 7th. Ralph cites evidence to backup my prediction. It’s a 15 minute interview broken into 3 clips. The last one is the best.

There are so many models out there. Spiral Dynamics is one that Ken Wilber refers to frequently in his work. If you’re creating marketing segments in your business, evaulating your personal evolution or just plain interested in systems and models review these sites..

“If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man,” said Albert Einstein.
Reports that bee populations are declining at rates of up to 80% in areas of the U.S. and Europe should set alarm bells ringing and demand immediate action on behalf of environmental organizations. Experts are calling the worrying trend “colony collapse disorder” or CCD.
the bacterial toxin in the genetically modified corn may have “altered the surface of the bee’s intestines, sufficiently weakening the bees to allow the parasites to gain entry — or perhaps it was the other way around.”
Or, is it cell phone use - The theory is that radiation from mobile phones interferes with bees’ navigation systems, preventing the famously homeloving species from finding their way back to their hives. Improbable as it may seem, there is now evidence to back this up…

Spinal Tap is reuniting. See video by clicking on this link. The world is changing. Al Gore is putting his mouth and money on music. There are studies that show that audio “awakens” us and lyrics send messages to us…This concert, scheduled for July 7th, is going to spread the Climate Crisis Message in A BIG WAY. My guess is we’re going to have another famous, “We are the World” song in the Green Space and that the Top 40 song list will contribute to the current bill in congress getting passed that has all of our states focus on reducing their impact on global warming.

Yahoo! to Go Carbon Neutral in 2007
Source: GreenBiz.com
SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 17, 2007 – As part of an ambitious new plan to fight global warming, the internet giant will reduce its energy use and invest in emissions-fighting projects to make its operations carbon neutral.
By the end of 2007, Yahoo! intends to be fully carbon neutral. The company says it has already begun reviewing proposals for the first carbon-offset projects it will invest in, and reviews of the final batch of projects will occur over the rest of 2007.

Mark Spellum, the Founder of Plenty Magazine, gives a great interview on America the Green. One of the interviewers asks him if he has any green sex tips…
He declined. Moments before I was thinking — as the internet allows the media to listen, report and combine all of the information — what is the information that is still not being shared in the news, on the internet and in public?
What is the most sacred information that you hold? What do people know the most about and are not seeing regularly in the media. Start engaging a new level of listening. Pretend the person you are talking to is the media. At urth.tv they say — YOU ARE THE TV. Make sure your message is getting out.
I’m listening. What do you have to say?

“We need to make cities work.” - Alex Steffan.
Michael Gosney - Digital Be-In - April21st in San Francisco
I’m mcing and I’d love to meet you there. Listen to Episode 5 of Living Green with the founder, Michael Gosney. He proposes a radical new Bay Area Technology/Ecology Community called Califia. Well designed cities help reduce ecological footprints. Manhatten, if it were a state, would have the lowest energy use and the lowest solid waste.
I predict WI-MAX in SanFrancisco by 2009. Prepare to be always on. Remember you can go out in nature and be “always on” my accessing your intuition. This is the time to start cultivating a spritual practice or a daily meditation practice, to counter the rising technolgy use that will be a key part of our communication of weather change patterns, new political developments and the good news. In less than three years I expect we’ll be able to program and choose almost all of our news.
BTW - -Cell Phone Towers Are on the Rise, Ether Zukerman, 1 in 10 people own a cell phone. Almost no landline telephones. Almost every person has access to telephony. Africa is leaping toward the lastest techology. Public Wi-Fi spreading fast in Africa.
These Global Changes will begin to affect our Local Communication. My tip: Keep your attention on your personal communication - with your inner self. Cultivate a personal relationship with your “higher self, higher power, God, guides, Jesus” — or NATURE. Get outside, breathe inside and be sure to maintain your inner connection. (You wouldn’t let your internet connection go down for three days would you?)

Adventure Ecology — A Video Game for Your Kids to Use
I was in Marco Island, with my college friend, Captain Ecology. Yes, he’s really a superhero and has been doing it for 20 years. He has a costume and CD’s and he just won the Golden Apple Award in Florida for being such a great science teacher.
When I visited them right before I exhibited at the CTIA Wireless Conference I noticed their son, Elliot was really into webkins — Well, here’s one possible solution

1. New eco adventure video games are coming out.
If the kids are already emerged in gaming…and you’ve already asked them to play outside, now you have another option. Instead of taking the technology away or limiting their hours, let them get involved in a video game where Agency Waste and Character Global Warming Come Together!

Eco-Fashion Show - Hollwood, CA.
Here’s my interview with Linda Gray, formally of DALLAS! I used to watch that on Friday nights when I had TV is a kid. It was a special time for me to see how actors are just people too AND they certainly contribute to major messaging. We need to start educating celebrities in many ways - one way is through the internet. Their ability to reach the mainstream will allow all of us to communicate the “good news” — I read so much everyday about so many positive stories that are supporting sustainability.
Notice what take you “take” on the environment. Being bitter over global warming?> Communicate something that is working or a refreshing story of action. Stop spreading fear or allowing it to work in your own mind/conscious awareness.
Create your language to reflect the change that is already here. We are sustainable and we are riding the wave of the biggest spiritual and political transformation on the planet — Remember, you are creating it through your transfomative language. Choose to Spread the Good News!
