Why Am I So Passionate about Qi Gong?
Why Am I so Passionate for Chi Gung?
Today I had another Chi Gung breathing lesson. I am studying breathing as a foundation for the moving and standing practices, and my weekly session is one of the most exciting times in my week.
Why is this? Because I learn so much about subtle energy every time. Apparently, there is no limit to how much more I can breathe, feel, sense, and experience. The tiniest shift in my posture, or degree of relaxation, leads to profound shifts in my experience of my own body and hence the world around me.
We can only get so far with gross movements, but to go ever more subtle is an infinite game.
I take everything I’ve learned right from Chi Gung into the rest of my day and night.
And: These lessons have truly inspired me to be a far more sensitive lover - both in the giving and receiving.
Today I learned to soften my face when I breathe. And then, my eyes. And then, the place where my eyes connect to my brain.
I thought I went to a deeper level Alpha heaven along the way with every breath! I can only imagine how good you would feel to me and I would feel to you, were we to meet while both of us were doing this breathing, and being so relaxed and energized at the same time.
And I’ve only really just begun my lessons (way less than ten so far.)
If you are interested in Chi Gung (Qi Gong) and how it relates to sensuality, Bruce Frantzis was interviewed on two fabulous shows 119 and 120, and he has made available the first two chapters of his book, Tiger and Dragon Medical Chi Gung. (Yes, you can use your own chi energy to heal yourself, too! Many people use this system to heal cancer and hundreds of other ailments.)
If you are interested in checking out theses shows and even learning this breathing, go to this link to get your free download of the first two chapters, which show you just what to do in “longevity breathing”. And while you’re at it, check out his other free offering, two tracks from his new CD, Chi Gung for the Sexes. This came in as one of my favorite listens of 2009.
